After Thanksgiving ... and Black Friday ... and before Cyber Monday ... the Altadena Chamber of Commerce is urging residents to "shop small" at local independent businesses Saturday.
American Express is promoting November 24 as "Small Business Saturday," "a day dedicated to helping small businesses and their communities. By supporting local, independently-owned small businesses, we're helping create jobs, boost the economy, and preserve neighborhoods around the country."
At the shopsmall.com website, customers can find a map of businesses that are participating in Small Business Saturday. There are also promotional materials available at the website for busiensses that accept American Express cards.
