NATHA (Neighbors Acting Together Helping All) will his the 9th Annual Lincoln Village Festival "Function at the Junction" on Lincoln Avenue, between Montana and Idaho, on Sat., Nov. 10 from noon to 4 PM.
"Function at the Junction" is a spectacular one-day event for all ages to taste great ethnic foods, live Jazz music, vendor booths and entertainment, a kids zone with jumpers and face painting and free health screenings all in a smoke and drug free environment. Admission is FREE.
During the festival the NATHA/PHAT ( Public Health Action Team) will also celebrate a recent grant of $125, 000 from the Office of National Drug Policy, Drug Free Communities to help prevent substance abuse among youth in the community.
"Efforts to keep our youth drug-free are critical to healthy and safe communities here in Pasadena and Altadena." said Marilyn Williams PHAT co-chair. "The Drug-Free Communities Support Program recognizes the great potential of the PHAT Coalition to help save young people's lives. This new funding will allow the NATHA/ PHAT Coalition to mobilize and organize the Pasadena/Altadena community to prevent youth substance use. "
