We sing all the holiday songs, but have you ever HAD figgy pudding? Sipped wassail? Danced with a sugar plum?
This year, Westminster Presbyterian Church, 1757 N. Lake Ave., will hold a Victorian-themed Advent Faire on Sun., Nov. 25, starting at 2 PM.
Besides those treats from days gone by, kids and adults can make a variety of crafts, including an Advent wreath and candles. Come in Victorian costume if you like, or use their dress-up station to have a free picture of your family or group in a Victorian Christmas scene. There may even be a visit from Father Christmas.
