Advent opportunities continue on Thursdays and Sundays at Altadena Community Church.
At 7 PM on Thursday Dec. 20, Pastor Joe McGowan leads a small group in the chapel for centering prayer. Enter the chapel door from the west driveway, at 943 E. Altadena Drive.
On Sunday, Dec. 23, the adult class continues to explore the themes of Advent through the art of Vincent Van Gogh. The class includes discussion, meditation, and an opportunity to respond with artwork. This class meets after the 10 AM worship service, from 11:30 to 1 PM in the upper fellowship hall (east driveway). All are welcome.

All are invited to celebrate Christmas Eve Dec. 24 with Pastor Joe McGowan, Music Director Wendy Caldwell and the Altadena Community Church choir and congregation. The 7 PM candlelight service will feature "Let Heaven and Nature Sing Gloria!" This contemporary cantata by Mark Hayes and John Parker, with narration by Audra Parker, weaves beloved, familiar Christmas carols with new Christmas music for a fresh and sacred telling of the ancient Christmas story.
