It's all about education today:
- Open enrollment ends: Today (Dec. 18) is the last day for families with students already enrolled in a school of choice to register siblings at that school. Children of current PUSD full-time employees and Willard Elementary fifth grade students who wish to continue in the IB program at Blair Middle School are also part of priority OE. General open enrollment will begin on January 23, 2013. PUSD has updated its Open Enrollment page.
- JPL STEM grant to Muir: John Muir High School teacher Keith Russell’s class project for the Jet Propulsion Laboratory’s Invention Challenge has won a 2012 Fall Teacher Grant from the California Credit Union. He is among 10 winners of the $500 grant, which will be used on a project that uses math, science and engineering skills and knowledge.
- Shop to support Eliot: For supporters of Eliot Middle School: while the in-school book fair ended on Friday, the online fair is still available until December 22.
