- AUFM becomes Arroyo Seco Neighborhood Marketplace: The design firm The Think Farm decided to so some pro bono work for a local do-good organization last year, and settled on the Altadena Urban Farmer's Market (not to be confused with the current Altadena Farmer's Market, which it spawned). Now rebranded, it will re-emerge this spring as the Arroyo Seco Neighborhood Marketplace (certainly not to be confused with the Walmart Neighborhood Market ...)
- Scholar: Amelia M. Garrison, of Altadena, has been named to the dean's list for the fall 2012 semester at the University of Vermont. Garrison is a first-year Undeclared major in the College of Arts & Sciences. To be named to the dean's lists, students must have a grade-point average of 3.0 or better and rank in the top 20 percent of their class in their respective college or school.
