Marie and Bob Mann have announced The Big Hat Promotions summer series of Altadena house concerts.
It will start with award-winning artist Juni Fisher performing in a CD release party at Altadena Stables on Saturday, May 11. "A Very Special Evening with Juni Fisher" will also include the release of her new CD, "Listen." Fisher says that “There could not be a better setting for a concert aimed at the horse community than the Altadena Stables!”
Next, returning favorites Gary Allegretto & Ian Espinsoa will have a CD release party for their latest cowboy blues effort on Saturday, June 1 at the Mann's home in Altadena. Reservations required, seats are limited, and also $25 cash donation requested at the door.
On June 15, New West (songwriter, Mike Fleming, renowned lead guitarist, Raul Reynoso, and the incredibly talented Dave Jackson on bass) will make their Big Hat Promotions debut:
Winner of three best song awards from the Academy of Western Artists and The Western Music Association, and the Will Rogers Award for Best Western Group, New West has toured the Midwest in as part of the Arts Midwest and APAP touring programs. They’ve been a featured act at the Elko Cowboy Poetry Gathering, the Santa Clarita Cowboy Festival, the Strawberry Music Festival in Northern California. It has been way too long since we've had the opportunity to enjoy New West.
All concerts start at 6 PM, $25 cash donation requested at the door, and light refreshments will be served: "Your donations show appreciation to our artists for their talent and support us in being able to draw such fine performers.
