A 17-year-old girl was killed and her 18-year-old companion injured following a fall in Eaton Canyon this morning.
Preliminary reports say that two 17-year-old girls and two 18-year-old men were hiking when the pair of them fell. PSN is reporting that the young woman died at the scene and the young man was airlifted to the hospital. Brian Day has more at PSN.
UPDATE: Altadena Mountain Rescue Team has a report up on its website, but doesn't say much more than anyone else right now.
