Yes, it's time to jump your clocks ahead one hour for Daylight Savings Time. It's also a good time to change the batteries in your smoke detectors. (We don't have to, as two of them were giving the "I'm running out of power" warning beep at the same time last week, forcing a whole house late-night battery change ...)
Where were we? Oh, yes: Gloriana Casey has some words to share about that:
"The TIMES, They Are A Changing"
from gloriana casey
For those of you who heed no clocks,
today is just a day.
For those who measure time all round,
you know just what I'll say!
So---Happy Daylight Saving Day,
for those who have time shock!
That day that takes an hour away;
so---- did you set that clock?
For this day here---move up an hour,
Spring FORWARD, in fall-- BACK!
Then if this day starts out all wrong
you've had a clock attack!
For TIME, oh TiME, that predator,
he stalks the clock and you.
For term papers and turkeys cooked
that TIME'S an evil shrew!
But positive ---time change is great
It gives us more sunlight.
Plus, lovely spring time flowers come;
a seasonal delight!
If you were caught off guard---sorry!
For we have all been caught!
Be grateful then that you don't work,
within a big clock shop!
