Primavera in Altadena V: The annual potluck picnic for the bloggers of the San Gabriel Valley and their fans, starting at 11 AM at the Mt. Curve Pavilion in Farnsworth Park.
Library artist closing reception: Closing reception for the Library's March artist, Henia Flynn, 7-9 PM at the Altadena Main Library Community Room, 600 E. Mariposa St.
Out-of-town openings: local favorites Kate Carvellas and David Lovejoy are showing at "Refuse to Destroy: Artwork Made from Found Materials" at the Cella Gallery, 11135 Weddington St., Suite #112, North Hollywood, opening reception Saturday, 7-11 PM. Sunday
Sunrise service at Farnsworth Park: Community Easter service at Farnsworth Park, 6 AM. The Easter message of victory will be proclaimed by Dr. Joy J. Moore. Dr. Moore serves as associate dean of African American Church Studies and assistant professor of Preaching at Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, CA. Pastor Carlton Edwards of Pasadena Community Christian Fellowship will serve as the Master of Ceremony. This annual event is being planned and organized by the Interdenominational Ministerial Alliance of Greater Pasadena/Altadena.
