The Folly Bowl impresarios Susanna Dadd and James Griffiths have announced their summer concert series, which marks the return of some old favorites.
"Celebrating Ten Years of Folly" is the theme for Bowl, which is a terraced garden amphitheater in their back yard on Loma Alta Drive.
Performers will be:
May 25: Paul Livingstone, sitar
June 2: The Briton Ensemble, "choral ditties."
June 22: HB3
July 13: Philabosians
July 27: Troy Evans: stories
Aug. 10: Addi Somekh, balloon bassist extraordinaire
Aug. 24: Laura Kraning with her film "Devil's Gate," and Kevin Mitchell.
Aug. 31/Sept. 1: Carole Kim and friends
Mid-Sept: Tesserae, early music.
The Folly Bowl joins the Sheriff's Support Group of Altadena Summer Concert Series in Farnsworth Park and the Big Hat Promotions cowboy/western series to make Altadena a summer concert destination.
