- Justice: Altadena’s David de Csepel has been leading his family in recovering the artwork of his great-grandfather, Baron Mor Lipot Herzog. Baron Herzog, a Budapest-based Jewish banker, had 40 artworks, valued at $100 million, looted during World War II that are now in the possession of museums in Hungary. Recently a federal appellate court allowed Herzog’s family to proceed with a lawsuit against the Hungarian government and the museums. LA Times’ Jori Finkel has the details.
