The Pasadena Jewish Temple & Center Tikun Olam Committee and Greater Pasadena Jews for Justice invite you to: "Understanding Immigration Reform – An Evening of Learning and Discussion" on Tuesday, April 30, at 7:30 PM.
Join us for an educational evening exploring one of the most important issues facing us today. Learn what you can do to advocate for your views.
The evening will feature a distinguished panel, including:
- Angelica Salas, who grew up and lives in Pasadena, is the director of the Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights of Los Angeles (CHIRLA) and is one of the most gifted activist/organizers on immigration issues in the country.
- Simon Burrow is an entrepreneur, immigration rights activist, and founder of Rational Immigration, an organization based on the belief that it is morally wrong to discriminate against people based on where they were born.
- Moderator: Janice Markham is co-producer and host for Press for Democracy, which airs on Free Speech TV.
- Pedro Benitez, a junior at Blair High School in Pasadena.
Co-sponsors of the evening include: All Saints Church, Community Engagement Ministry, Press for Democracy, and Neighborhood Unitarian Universalist Church.
The event is open to the public and free of charge.
