Tuesday night, May 28, the Altadena Coalition of Neighborhood Associations had a meeting jam-packed with information, to wit:
1. Sheriff Lt. Eric Lasko gives an update on policing efforts in Altadena.
2. Altadena resident Ellen Walton talks about appropriate growing appropriate vegetation in Altadena's climate.
3. Mia Dunn of the Arroyo Food Co-op talks about the co-op's mission.
4. The co-op's Alex Berrie talks about the acquisition of the co-op's building at plans for its development.
5. Mark Goldschmidt of Altadena Heritage talks about ... well, the heritage of Altadena and the efforts of the community standards district committee.
6. James S. Rothrock, chief financial officer of Episcopal Communities and Homes, talks about MonteCedro, which is to start construction this summer.
7. CERT member Holly Rundberg talks about carving Altadena into "zones" to better deploy resources in case of emergency.
