Altadena's Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) is looking for all licensed HAM and General Mobile Radio Service operators to be part of an emergency communication network.
CERT-er Mala E. Arthur writes us that Altadena CERT is working to create an emergency communications plan for our area:
Activation of the plan will enable information to flow through Altadena and nearby areas, even when we have a serious emergency and normal types of communications are down.
Emergency responders need and want to know which neighborhoods are OK, which have serious problems and what kinds of problems or injuries there are.Can you help? We need your assistance.
(You do not have to have completed CERT training in addition to your radio license in order to help us.)
Please contact the Emergency Communications Committee of Altadena CERT at communications@altadenacert.org
