The Altadena-based Institute of Urban Ecology has announced a schedule of activities during the month of June, educating and supporting all the aspects of urban farming.
The "June Bloom" series will kick off with a potluck dinner on Friday, May 31 from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM at Harambee Ministries, 1609 Navarro Ave., Pasadena. Leigh Adams will speak on rainwater harvesting.
Other workshops include the Repair Cafe (fix anything), converting an Altadena front yard to an urban farm, an Altadena urban farm tour, and workshops about greywater, beekeeping, and biodiesel.
