The fourth annual Altadena Relay for Life takes place tomorrow, Saturday, at the lower ballfield in Farnsworth Park. Starting at 9 AM, the relay to raise money and awareness for cancer will last 24 hours.
If you're a walker, here's the list of things you should bring:
- canopy
- chairs
- water
- jackets, sweatshirts
- blankets
- sleeping bags
- camping tents
- snacks
- flashlights
- toilet paper
- hand sanitizer
- sunscreen
- bug spray
- hats
- sunglasses
- cash
- games
... and NOT to bring:
- No alcohol
- No smoking
- No pets
- No dogs unless actual service dogs
- No vehicles on grass to unload ... vehicles are allowed on the dirt infield.
Throughout the day there will be food and entertainment available. At 9 PM, the walkers will take part in a luminaria walk to remember those whose lives have been touched by cancer.
