Altadena town council elections tend to run cold and hot. Last year -- with only 78 valid votes cast -- it was cold.
This year, it's hot.
Seventeen residents threw their hats in the ring for next month's election, and four incumbents opted not to run again.
But in one census tract, there's no competition: nobody entered for Census Tract 4603.02.
Candidates will be invited to a forum at the next town council meeting, May 21. The election will be held June 8.
