The Altadena Town Council elections will be Saturday, June 8 (with "early voting" to take place on Tuesday, June 4), and activity is gearing up for that.
Tomorrow, Wednesday, May 29, Neighbors Building a Better Altadena will be sponsoring a candidate's forum at the Altadena Community Center, 730 E. Altadena Drive. All 16 candidates have been invited to answer a selection of questions, and NBBA says there will be time to take questions from the audience. The forum starts at 7 PM.
Pre-voting, for those who are unable to vote on the Saturday election, will be held at the community center from 5 PM-9 PM on June 4.
We have opened our annual Town Council Elections page with a list of candidates, polling places, and census tract boundaries. As in years past, we are offering space on that page to any candidates who wish to say anything that goes beyond the candidate statement they submitted when they filed (the sales pitch, in other words). For more information, also check the official Altadena Elections page.
