from the Altadena Library
Do you have a hankering for crab cakes? Umm, umm. Sausages? Pulled pork? Getting hungry? How about some tacos, burritos, or chile verde? And, to top if off, a few pecan pralines, a vegan cookie or two and pie?
Or maybe you would prefer a delicious salad and sandwich. Or some luscious Persian and Indian food like chicken tikka masala, rice-aloo chat, dahl, and lassi. Or something lighter like a bagel or donut with coffee or special herb tea?
Usually you won’t find these delectables in one place since they come from different eateries. However, you can enjoy all of these wonders by showing up at Altadena Library’s Art on Millionaire’s Row Art Fair and salon on Saturday, June 8 anytime from 10 AM to 6 PM to have your fill. Really, you can eat all of these in one day if you stay long enough. And you probably will want to because there’s a lot going on. Besides munching, there will be beautiful arts and crafts and live music from 12 individuals and musical groups including jazz, pop, rock, folk, guitar, singers, and even some classical and Hawaiian dancing too. And there are free fun activities for the kids. Oh, yes, and if your Altadena Town Council rep is up for election, you can also vote (10 a.m. to 3 p.m.) while you’re there too!
Food vendors, mostly local favorites include Martin’s Sausages, Amy’s Patio Café, Mota; the Coffee Gallery, Memory Lane, Bird Pick Tea and Herb, and GypsyEats.
So come on down, see the art, shop at the fair, listen to the music, and enjoy the food!
