Limited number of free deodar saplings available

 

Deodar cedars along Christmas Tree Lane.

Reader Gerry Cichlar writes that he has about 10 deodar cedar saplings that he's grown from seeds (currently 8 ft. tall and outgrowing their pots) that he's willing to give to good homes.

 

Altadena is losing it's mature trees and I would like to help maintain our community's urban forest. These trees need to be planted soon and I would love to donate them to any Altadena residents to plant in their yards, or if the Christmas Tree Lane folks are interested they are free for the taking.
