On Saturday, June 29, at 7:30 PM, in the chapel of Lake Ave. Church, 393 N. Lake Ave., the Pasadena Summer Youth Chamber Orchestra under the direction of Dr. Paul Sherman will present its annual Young Artist's Concert.
Performing with PSYCO this year will be Eva Polgar, pianist and winner of the Liszt piano competition. Also on the program is 10 old Vera Hong violinist, 15 year old violist Daniel Hsiao, and cellist Justin Cheung, 14. The program includes "An Italian Girl from Algiers" by Rossini, movement of Concerto #9 in A minor for violin (de Beriot), a movement of Cello Concerto in E minor (Elgar), Piano Concerto #2 in A Major (Liszt), and Concerto in G for Viola (Telemann).
The Concert is free and made possible by a grant from the Tournament of Roses(r) Foundation and the Pasadena Arts & Culture Commission and the City of Pasadena Cultural Affairs Division. Admission is free.
