Don't panic if you see law enforcement vehicles and hear shooting and shouting along Lake and Calavaras Wednesday. The Altadena Sheriff Station, along with other law enforcement agencies, will conduct an "active shooter response drill" at Eliot Middle School on June 12.
"This training will simulate emergency response procedures at the middle school, where law enforcement will respond and take simulated action," according to a statement from the sheriff's office. "The training will consist of gun fire (blanks) and screaming. There will also be simulated injuries portrayed by role players at the school. We will have a large response of law enforcement and firefighters responding to the school."
As school is closed for summer break, there will be no students present on campus.
