That chopper you hear is from a completed rescue around the Eaton Canyon area. According to the scanner, two were hoisted out, not injured, and they are being transported to Farnsworth Park and landing just east of the baseball diamond. More details as we get them.
UPDATE: Deputy on duty at Altadena Station confirms two uninjured "hoisted out of the canyon."
UPDATE: The Altadena Sheriff's Facebook page reports:
On July 29, 2013, at approximately 1904 hours (7:04 PM), members of the Altadena Search and Rescue Team responded to Eaton Canyon to search for two lost hikers. Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department helicopter Air 5 assisted in the search and located the hikers on the Mount Wilson Toll Road. The Air 5 crew air lifted the hikers, both residents of Los Angeles, from the road to Farnsworth Park. Neither hiker was injured.
