Shakespeare by the Sea performed "King John" Friday night at the Farnsworth Park amphitheater

It was a double-header at Farnsworth Park Friday night. At the amphitheater, the San Pedro troupe Shakespeare by the Sea performed "King John," bringing the Bard to Altadena.
Meanwhile, in the lower ballfield, the Central Altadena Little League hosted local 9-10 year old All Star teams in a weeklong tournament. Here, the Pasadena Southwest League (in blue) faces off against San Marino (in white).
It's not over yet: tonight (Saturday) the Sheriff's Support Group Summer Concert Series kicks off the the big band sounds of the Down Beat Express with Jennifer Gates. And, next Sunday, the California Shakespeare Ensemble returns with "Shakespeare's LOVERS" at 7 PM.
