The body recovered Sunday in the forest north of Altadena has been identified as Fox News reporter and producer Martin Burns, 56, according to industry sources.
Variety.com reported that it was Burns who fell into the ravine at Inspiration Point on Sunday, triggering an hours-long search and recovery effort from local rescue crews. A hiker found Burns' body in a ravine near Inspiration Point, and the coroner has preliminarily concluded that cause of death was trauma from a fall.
Burns was an investigative reporter and producer for Fox 11 New in Los Angeles. His colleagues have put up a tribute page here.
