by Timothy Rutt
James A Faulker is the August artist currently on exhibit at the Altadena Main Library Community Room, 600 E. Mariposa St.
Faulkner’s work is inspired by his work in both print and television. Having beauty in his life is important, which is reflected in his work as well as his passion to create wherever and when it may take him by surprise.
In September, the library presents "Mythos," artwork by Sarah Stone.
Sarah works in organic media including water color and water miscible oil paints on rag fibers. Her themes revolve around transition, evolution, emergence and connection, integrating totemic imagery, biological elements, mythic cultural archetypes and runes, to bridge our illusory perception of separateness and detachment from each other and other life on our planet.
