The Business Technology Center will host "Leveraging Your Woman-Owned Status for Corporate and Government Contracting" on Thursday, September 5, 2013, 4-7 PM at the Business Technology Center in Altadena. This program is designed for business owners who are seeking local, federal and corporate contracts. Guest speaker, Karen Blackwell, Manager Supplier Diversity North America, Nestle, will provide insights into corporate contracting, and will include a networking reception for woman owned businesses. Participants will discover how being a certified woman-owned business can positively impact their businesses, as well as the importance of certification for corporate and government contracting. This program is presented by the Women’s Business Enterprise Council West, a nonprofit organization with a mission to cultivate sustainable relationships between certified Women Business enterprises and Corporate America through certification, education, and targeted networking.
