Here's some of the major things going on tonight:
- PUSD State of the Schools at Jackson Elementary: Pasadena Unified School District (PUSD) Board of Education President Renatta Cooper will deliver the annual PUSD State of the Schools Address at 5:30 PM at Jackson Elementary School, 593 W. Woodbury Road, Altadena. Cooper will discuss the new Common Core state learning standards, the district’s master planning effort and how California’s school funding reform affects PUSD. Superintendent Jon R. Gundry will also deliver remarks at the event.
- Publish it yourself workshop at WFS: More authors are self-publishing their works, but it is a time-consuming and confusing endeavor. - ACONA at the Library: The Altadena Coalition of Neighborhood Associations has its quarterly meeting at the Altadena Main Library, 600 E. Mariposa St. Speakers are Altadena Town Council Chair Diane Macussen and PUSD Board Member for West Altadena Kim Kenne, who will also be available to answer questions. Starts at 7 PM.
