Flu season is coming! The Pasadena Senior Center advises everyone to make sure they and their loved ones are protected this year. The flu is an illness caused by the influenza virus that affects the entire body and can cause pneumonia, dehydration and other serious complications for some, especially those with other health conditions.
The Pasadena Senior Center is offering two upcoming flu vaccine clinics:
Wednesday, Oct. 9, from 9 a.m. to noon, presented by Flintridge Pharmacy and Medical Supply. Free to anyone with Medicare Part B and Medical with Medicare Part B; all others $25. ·
Wednesday, Nov. 6, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., sponsored by the Pasadena Public Health Department. Free to anyone over the age of 6 months. The clinics will be held at the Pasadena Senior Center, 85 E. The Pasadena Senior Center is an independent nonprofit agency that offers recreational, educational, wellness and social services to people ages 50 and over in a friendly environment. Services are also provided for frail, low-income and homebound seniors.
