Medalists: On July 14th, 2013 the Altadena NAACP ACT-SO (Academic, Cultural, Technological and Scientific Olympics of the Mind) won three national medals in Orlando, Florida at the 35th annual competition on July 14, according to a story in the Pasadena Journal. ACT-SO is an enrichment program sponsored by local NAACP branches.
Fundraiser: The second annual TBI Literacy Louisiana Juke Joint Fundraiser Concert takes place from 3 to 9 PM today at TBI Garden, located at 2202 Santa Anita Ave., Altadena.
