Do you have old electronics cluttering up your attic or garage? Do yourself a favor and help the library earn funds by finally getting rid of that elderly desktop, broken television, zapped microwave oven, non-working DVD player, dried-up ink and toner cartridges, even that dead VCR or anything that plugs into a wall or uses batteries!
Bring it all to the main Altadena Library parking lot on Saturday, October 26, anytime between 10 AM-2 PMand just drive through. You don’t even have to get out of your car because trained staff from All Green Electronics Recycling will remove the items for you and recycle them. The company vows to recycle everything it accepts and never to send electronics to a landfill or overseas for processing.
So clean out and donate those old electronics to a good cause. Other items accepted include but are not limited to monitors, printers, keyboards, radios, disk drives, recorders, cameras, stereo systems, calculators, circuit boards, CDs & DVDs, electronic components, rechargeable batteries, servers, smart phones, iPods, cables and wires, telephones, fax machines, scanners, microwaves, computer parts, and more. Certified Data Destruction is available for a small fee. The main Altadena Library is located at 600 E. Mariposa Street. Information: http://www.altadenalibrary.org or 626-798-0833
