Students from four local schools will combine together for a concert to honor Daniel Pearl Music Days at 11 AM Friday, Oct. 18.
Students from the New Horizon School, St. Mark's School, Weiszmann Day School, and the Peace and Justice Academy will sing at the Galpert Sanctuary of the Pasadena Jewish Temple, 1434 N. Altadena Drive.
This special concert brings together Jewish, Muslim and Christian elementary school age children singing songs of peace and understanding.
This local concert is part of a global Daniel Pearl World Music Days event (www.danielpearlmusicdays.org honoring journalist Daniel Pearl, an accomplished musician, who was killed by terrorists while on assignment in Pakistan in 2002. Pearl’s tragically short life was spent in the pursuit of fellowship and understanding across cultures.
