Longtime Altadena Town Councilman Jamie Bissner, who was defeated for re-election in June, was returned to his seat at tonight's council meeting.
The victor of the June 8 election, Bill Ward, resigned from the council two months ago to take a job out of town.
Two other candidates -- Lorri Drogin and Russell Juma -- threw their hats in the ring for the vacant seat at Census Tract 4612. All three submitted applications to the council, and made a short presentation at tonight's meeting. Following the presentations, the councilmembers held a secret ballot to determine the winner.
Bissner received seven votes, Russell four, and Drogin two. Bissner was then sworn in and took a seat for the remainder of the meeting.
