Hard to believe, but in less than two weeks will be the official lighting of Christmas Tree Lane, on Dec. 14.
Volunteers have been scrambling since fall testing, replacing, and installing lights on the deodars that line Santa Rosa Avenue in preparation for the annual Christmas display.
The lighting ceremony will take place on Santa Rosa Avenue and Mariposa (by the Altadena Main Library) at 6 PM. Before then, the parking lot of the Library will be holding the annual Winter Arts & Crafts Festival with food, music, and works by local artisans, starting at 2 PM. Santa Rosa Avenue will be closed to traffic at 4 PM.
