from Meher Montessory School
The children of Meher Montessori School were given the VIP treatment Monday, Dec. 16, on their walking field trip to the Altadena Fire Station to deliver new, unwrapped toys for their toy drive. The firefighters went above and beyond -- not only were the children able to pose for a group photo in front of the fire engine, they were also allowed to pose for individual photos in the driver¹s seat!
The firefighters gave each child a red "Stay low and go" safety bracelet after they delivered their toys in the toy box. After singing a song to thank the firefighters for all their hospitality, the children were in store for yet another treat: they were invited to go on a tour of the station house. Unfortunately the tour was cut short due to a call coming in. The children did enjoy watching the fire engine take off though. We hope everything turned out ok!
