UPDATE: This made the rounds, but the deputies are looking for volunteers from the Neighborhood Watch groups for this activity.The Altadena Sheriff Station is looking for volunteers (teens and adults) to help with the annual holiday food and toy drive.
Food boxes need to be sorted and packed on Thursday, Dec. 19, and Friday, Dec. 20.. This year, the sorting will take place at Altadena Community Church, 943 E. Altadena Drive. (Drive up the driveway to the back of the building and enter through the rear parking lot). Sorting starts at 7 PM Thursday and 1 PM Friday, and will go on until it's done.
Distribuion of food items and toys will take place at the church on Saturday, Dec. 21. Please contact the sheriff's station directly (798-1131) if you want to volunteer for distribution.
