Wynne Wilson and Brian Leach on Anna Maria have a Certified California Native Plant and Wildlife Habitat garden, and their wildlife camera picked up a visitor this morning:
Look who is happily visiting our California native garden during the early hours! Our wildlife camera caught one great image of this grey fox under the oaks this morning. Some info: In the summer, the gray fox devours such foods as blackberries, native grasses, grasshoppers, crickets, and acorns. In the winter, small mammals comprise the bulk of the diet. The grey fox eats squirrels, rats and rabbits, along with mice and voles, when the weather turns colder.Happy to share the nature in our garden! Merry Christmas!!
Welcome BIng users! Apparently this post is coming up high today when you ask Bing, "What does the fox say?"
