Short takes

• The Altadena Community Garden recently contributed $252 to Haiti relief thru Loma Linda University Hospital, and toot their horn on their website (which they should!)
• Cathy Gott, who with husband Jim Gott founded Education Spectrum and Danny's Farm,  was recognized Friday by the Community Advisory Council, a parent's group for special needs students in the PUSD. The Council also honored several teachers and staff members from Altadena and other district schools at their annual awards dinner May 21.
