Friends of Sacred Heart Church are hosting a
concert fundraiser July 11 at 2 PM in the Davies Auditorium at Farnsworth Park
featuring
our own Choir Mistress, Cheryl Conley. The name of the event is "Jazz Lives Here." Tickets are $30 and include wine and cheese. Seating is limited.
Cheryl Conley, a jazz vocalist and former "Ikette", hit the ground running on her first recording "I found Someone of My Own" with Columbia records. She was a standing performer at Palermo, Catalina Bar & Grill, The Hip Kitty, Nick & Stef's and opened the Red, White & Blues in Pasadena. Her new CD is "Lemon Twist" under the TCB Montreux Jazz label.
All proceeds from the event will go to the outside painting and restoration of Sacred Heart Church at 2889 N. Lincoln Ave. Sacred Heart shares a rich heritage with the many of the international cultures that make up the United States.
