On the front page of today's LA Times Business section is an article on Bill Burnett and Debrah Lemattre's Altadena company, Stretch Media, the producers of the immortal Eat at Joe's commercial for the Redondo Beach restaurant. Reporter Sharon Bernstein talks about how all advertising media, from billboards to newspapers to television, is doing more with less in the current economy.
(If there's a gap in the article, it's about how the the growth of technology makes more possible: the tech to produce a first-class television commercial is much cheaper and easier to acquire these days. It also makes it easier to provide local news without paying for a printing plant and paper delivery, too!)
