Reader Mary Margaret Nesmith sent us this message:
I regularly serve as an election inspector and served [Tues.] at a polling place at the N/W corner of Altadena Drive and Glenrose Avenue. Last night, June 8th, sometime between 9:00 and 10:00 PM, during the course of packing up and carrying out our supplies and equipment, two items were stolen. They are voting booths designed to assist handicapped/visually impaired voters. When packed up, one looks like a blue plastic square suitcase, approximately 30" x 30" and 10" deep. The other item looks like an aluminum suitcase, approximately 30" x 30" and 3" deep.
Unreal that someone would stoop so low.
I have reported this theft to the Altadena Sheriff's Department. If any readers see any items matching the descriptions above, please let the Sheriff's know or e-mail me at nesmith@earthlink.net.
