- Altadena Ale & Wine House, 2329 Fair Oaks Ave., hosts "Thee First LA Limerick Fest" starting at 7:30 PM. Radio personality Mimi Chen of 100.3 FM will be the mistress of ceremonies. Signup for open mic starts at 6:45 PM, and admission is $9, which includes one free drink and a dollar of each admission will go to the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life. - The Altadena Senior Center fourth annual Health & Information Fair from 9 AM-noon offers free blood pressure and diabetes screening, over thirty vendors, and much more. A free continental breakfast is being offered to the first 100 attendees. 560 E. Mariposa St.
- The Mt. Wilson Observatory Association lecture this month is Dr. Kaspar von Braun, a staff scientist at NASA's Exoplanet Institute at Caltech, speaking on exoplanets. Refreshments start at 2 PM., lecture at 2:30 at the Altadena Library Community Room, 600 E. Mariposa.

- Look towards Vandenberg Air Force Base at 9:41 PM and see a Minotaur IV rocket taking off. The Minotaur is launching the Space-Based Space Surveillance satellite, a first-of-its-kind satellite that can detect and track orbiting space objects, including potential threats to our space assets and orbital debris.
