The Pasadena-Altadena Chapter of the Links, Inc. in partnership with the Pasadena-Altadena Community Endowment Fund presents 'Dancing with the Links " — an afternoon of fun, food and entertainment, Sun., Dec. 5, 12 PM, at the Masonic Temple, 200 S. Euclid Ave. in Pasadena. Proceeds will benefit community programs and scholarships for local high school graduating seniors.
Dancing with the Links is a perfect prelude to a fun and magical holiday season—complete with savory cuisine, music, dancing, silent auction and lively Salsa Dance Competition.The festivities kickoff at noon with a cocktail hour, followed by a luncheon starting at 1 PM. A highlight of the event’s program is a salsa dance competition featuring local community members and celebrity judges including Dancing with the Stars Musical Director Harold Wheeler, Screenwriter/ Director Kim Watson and Studio Executive/ Writer, Anne Johnson.
“Each year the Pasadena-Altadena Chapter of The Links sponsors a holiday benefit to raise money for the chapter’s community service programs and scholarships," says Yolanda Oliver, President of the Chapter. "This year,we look forward to raising money to support “Links-Up for Success: Connecting Through Mentoring” a program that provides one-on-one mentoring and workshops for high school young ladies and their parents, We hope that this program will positively impact the lives of these students by promoting high academic standards, healthy lifestyles, strong moral character, global, career and cultural awareness."
