Join the Altadena Historical Society on Mon., Jan.31, for a presentation of historical photographs of Altadena's past that are now digitally preserved.
Volunteer Marc Striegel will walk through several of the photographic collections that are now digitally preserved and explain methods AHS uses to scan, name, label, describe, and caption photos, and demonstrate how researchers use the software. Find out more about Zane Grey, socialite Barbara Curtis Horton, the Brown brothers, and other prominent Altadenans.
There wil also be a silent auction of historical documents and other items.
The event is free and open to the public, and starts at 7 PM at the Altadena Community Center, 730 E. Altadena Dr..
