The LA County Sheriffs have designated Sat., April 30 as "Prescription Drug Take-Back Day." Take the opportunity to rid your home of expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs. Last year, the sheriffs collected and safely disposed of nearly eight tons of prescription medications, nearly 3 1/2 tons of syringes, and over five pounds of illicit drugs. The sheriffs have "Safe Drug Drop-Off" boxes available 24/7 at various locations, the nearest one at the Crescenta Valley station, 4554 N. Briggs Ave, La Crescenta.
