It'll soon be forbidden to park your car with a "For Sale" sign on certain streets in Altadena and elsewhere in the county.
The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors unanimously approved an ordinance Tuesday restricting parking on certain streets where parking "for sale" cars has become a nuisance. The ordinance, to take effect within 30 days, calls for the cars to be ticketed first. If the cars are found again on any of the streets within 30 days of the ticket, they can be towed and impounded.
And, if the problem migrates to streets adjoining the streets already restricted, those streets will be added to the forbidden zone.
In Altadena, the restricted parking areas are:
- Allen Avenue between Altadena Drive and New York Drive
- Altadena Drive between Casitas & New York Drive
- Lake Avenue between Loma Alta Drive and Altadena Drive
- Lincoln Avenue betwen La Vina Lane and Altadena Drive
- Loma Alta Drive between Lincoln Avenue and Lake Avenue
- Mariposa Street between Fair Oaks Avenue and Lake Avenue
- Windsor Avenue between Ventura Street and Mountain View Street
