A 31-year-old Rancho Cucamonga man was airlfted from Eaton Canyon Thursday afternoon after falling from a cliff, authorities say.
The Altadena Sheriff's Station was notified that two people were in distress at the third waterfall at Eaton Canyon. Altadena search and rescue team members worked from the ground and a county fire department chopper crew worked from the air to locate the victims.
A 20-year-old Rancho Cucamonga woman was lifted off a cliff unhurt at 3:55 PM. After being stabilized by rescue workers and paramedics, the man was airlifted to Huntington Hospital at about 4:55 PM.
This is at least the third rescue from Eaton Canyon this week. One man died July 31 after falling in the first waterfall area.
