The next meeting of the Altadena Coalition of Neighborhood Associations (ACONA) will be Tues., Nov. 1, and will feature speakers who will address two important issues from neighborhoods in Altadena:
1. Trash in Altadena
The first half of the ACONA meeting will feature speakers from Athens Trash Service,and the LA County Department of Public Works. Athens will address questions and concerns about how they’re doing after six weeks, and how we in Altadena can use them for recycling. LA County will address questions about what to do about neighbors who need a nudge to clean up weeds and leaves and who to contact about dry brush as the fire season looms.

2. How to form Neighborhood Watches/ Neighborhood Associations.
How to organize your neighborhood into a Neighborhood Watch or Neighborhood Association.

Natalie Salazar, Director of the Community Law Enforcement Partnership Program (CLEPP), Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department
Sergeant Michael D. Randenberg and Deputy Ronnie Manier, Community Relations, Altadena Sheriff's Department
The meeting will be held at the Altadena Main Library, 600 E. Mariposa St., in the Community Room, from 7-8:30 PM.
