On Saturday, April 14,, Commit II Achieve, a life skills training program, will be hosting a dinner and fundraising gala at the Sheraton Pasadena Hotel, 303 East Cordova Street. This is the organization's third year presenting this event. Previous events have included celebrity comedy acts and keynote speakers of highly decorated military personnel.
Commit II Achieve is a component of Sarges Community Base, Inc., a non-profit organization designed to develop and encourage at risk young men and women to become leaders. By using a highly structured military model, participants become committed to reducing violence in their lives, and learning basic life skills, leadership principles, respect, responsibility, and personal discipline. Sarges Community Base, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. Donations are tax deductable to the full extent of the law.
